SARANAC LAKE - The Saranac Lake boys basketball team got a heavy dose of long-range bomber Tanner Rascoe on Wednesday night, and dropped a 61-53 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference game against Saranac.

Rascoe picked apart the Red Storm's 2-3 zone defense with five 3-pointers and a total of 20 points.

"He killed us," said Saranac Lake coach Dermott Morgan. "We couldn't stop him."

Saranac Lake's Kevin Morgan led all scorers in the game with 23 points. Kellen Munn chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds and Teddy Yanchitis scored 13 points.

The Chiefs took a 14-7 lead after the first quarter, and the teams played back-and-forth the rest of the way until Saranac pulled away in the final quarter.

John Maye scored 21 points for the Chiefs.
