TUPPER LAKE - A local woman was sentenced Tuesday to three years in state prison after pleading guilty to possessing and selling cocaine.

Cecelia A. Sharrow, 20, of Tupper Lake, was originally charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree after she sold a $20 bag of cocaine and a $300 eight-ball, or an eighth of an ounce, of cocaine to a confidential informant in February 2012, according to the Franklin County District Attorney's Office.

Sharrow pleaded guilty Tuesday in Franklin County Court to one count of attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class C felony.

Sharrow was sentenced to three years in state prison, two years of post-release supervision, and $320 in restitution to repay state police for the drug buys.
