Sand truck to the rescue

This bus from Nichols School, a Buffalo prep school whose hockey team was in town for the Northwood School tournament, was stuck for more than an hour Sunday morning on Mill Hill near the intersection of state routes 73 and 86 in Lake Placid. Snow was falling and wind blowing as the bus could not get through the slippery road until village sand trucks helped clear the way.
