Thawing out and throwing down

January 14, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
Michael Burpoe of Saranac Lake throws a shovelful of snow to a waiting Sam Munn, who’s standing on a tree stump above an igloo-shaped snow fort they helped build Saturday in the front yard of their friend Taylor Pellerin’s home on Keene Street. When it was done, the igloo measured nearly 10 feet in height, could accomodate three people inside and had a staircase to its roof. Four Saranac Lake High School seniors were involved in the effort — Munn, Burpoe, Pellerin and Guy Grebe — along with Pellerin’s mom Jamie and their neighbors.
