Best of both worlds

December 27, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Let's all start getting along and start compromising on Rails and Trail not just for Recrational Trail.

That was very a nice letter Gene Falvo from Utica wrote about the railroad. Very well done, Mr. Falvo,

I reccomend that Mr. Lee Keet and the other ARTA Adirondack Recreational Trail Advocates to stop writing misinformation about the Adirondack Scenic Railroad and start working with other groups on having both rails and trails from Lake Placid to Thendara/Old Forge because we can have both.

New York State Department of Transportation has said several times and will to say there not going remove the railroad tracks between Lake Placid ad Thendara/Old Forge so stop trying to get to change the Unit Mangement Plan on the Remsen-Lake Placid Corridor because again they will keep saying no,

Someday if and when we do have trains running from New York City to Lake Placid it's going help the north country economy when it comes to skiing, Snowshoeing, sleding, ice skating, camping, site seeing, bowling, golfing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, running and etc.

Anyway Merry Christmas and A happy new year or Happy Holidays. Let's remember that we are a Free Country even if we act like one sometimes, But we all need to respect each other and espeaily this time of year during the holiday season.
