On April 24, an FBI dive team found in the reservoir the bolt and barrel of the gun.

On June 5, the dive team found another gun Keyes admitted to stealing from the Curriers' home.

Keyes admitted to murdering the Curriers and at least six others while in jail awaiting court for killing an 18-year-old coffee shop worker in Alaska. He gave investigators information during that time that led them to search the Parishville location.

He killed himself Sunday by slitting his wrist with a razor blade and smothering himself with a sheet.
