Paula Ann Rivers Desourdy Harmon

GABRIELS - Paula Ann Rivers Desourdy Harmon embraced our Lord on Oct. 22, 2012, a loving daughter to Evelyn Gertrude Gonyea and Walter Joseph Rivers.

She was born on Aug. 26, 1944, in Malone.

Her first husband was Joseph Carl Desourdy, and her second was Richard Oliver Harmon.

She was and still is a loving mother and will be greatly missed.

She spent her last few years in Florida with two of her daughters and enjoying Facebook, where she was able to connect with relatives and find others that she did not keep in contact with.

Most of her time was spent going for rides and to restaurants, and she did a lot of crochet, which she did love the most.

Toward the end, she was having a very hard time coping with respiratory problems, and as stubborn as she was, she did not complain about herself. She just wanted to go back to Tony's.

She was a fun mother, always joking, making one laugh.

Her brothers and sisters are as follows: Carlton Rivers from Saranac Lake, Cindy Collins, deceased brothers and sisters are Aloney Rivers of Peru, Carl Rivers, Walter Joseph Jr. and Ida Mae Bills of Stony Creek. Her siblings are as follows: Mystery Linares, James Desourdy, Rebecca Van Vaulkinburg, Darlene Harmon, Janice Goodwin, Robert Harmon and Barbara Howard. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her words to her children were, "I love all of you."

We will miss you dearly, Mom, but you will always be with us in our hearts. We will never forget.

She will be laid to rest in Gabriels at Mountain View Cemetery with her mother and brother.
