Once again demonstrating their special relationship with the weather, a contingent of Troop 12 Boy Scouts headed out for a weekend on Lows Lake in a Friday downpour — with a prediction of the same weather all weekend. Comfortable, skilled and equipped as “all weather scouts” they were gifted with something that no one predicted. Tenacity and preparation lead them to a Saturday with warm sunny skies, a wilderness area to themselves and a brisk wind at their backs for their paddle home.
