Children perform ‘Charlotte’s Web’ at LPCA

November 1, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

LAKE PLACID - Forty-six local children will dramatize a musical version of E.B. White's classic barnyard tale of Wilbur the pig and the spider who saves him from becoming bacon Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 to 3, at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts.

"Charlotte's Web" (the musical), directed by Jessica M. Deeb, will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students under 18.

This new musical version of White's beloved book includes "Eating," Wilbur's song about growing up; "Who Says We Can't Be Friends?" a duet between Wilbur and his new-found, eight-legged companion; and "Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn," featuring all the story's animals in a hand-clapping, toe-tapping hoedown.
