Workers prepare Triangle Garden

October 31, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
Putting the garden to bed and perking it up with pumpkins was the order of the day last week for a record number (15) of volunteers at the Triangle Garden opposite the North Elba Show Grounds in Lake Placid. This garden, originally planted as a wildflower meadow, has been maintained by the Garden Club of Lake Placid for 22 years. Because the weeds became overwhelming, two mounds were suggested after the second year by Ivan Zdrahal, engineering and planning specialist. Master Gardener Heidi Roland designed the first plant placement. The sponsor for the final session was The Interlaken Inn & Restaurant, which provides complimentary snacks and discounted drinks for the group after it works on the garden.
