To the editor:
It has been my good fortune to have known Tim Carpenter for almost 40 years, as a classmate, teammate, co-worker, public servant and, perhaps most importantly, friend. When I think of Tim and his selfless dedication to the pursuit of excellence, so many positive personality characteristics come to mind. Chief among these would be honesty, integrity, productivity, community-mindedness, intelligence, rare common sense, compassion.
For the past four years, the residents of the city of Plattsburgh have been privileged to have Tim as their representative at City Hall. Now, the residents of the entire 115th Assembly District have the opportunity to have Mr. Carpenter represent them in Albany. I urge all North Country voters to take advantage of this good fortune and elect Tim Carpenter to the state Assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
