The document that ended slavery comes to SUNY Plattsburgh Oct. 19

PLATTSBURGH - In a rare public exhibit, President Abraham Lincoln's preliminary Emancipation Proclamation - the 1862 document that ended slavery and freed slaves in the U.S. - will be on display in Plattsburgh State University Art Museum's Burke Gallery, Myers Fine Arts Building, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19.
