Adirondack Daily Enterprise

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Center for the Arts invites all interested community members to a general volunteer meeting for the 26th annual Joy to the Children benefit.

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the LPCA Fine Arts Gallery.

Organizers ask that people RSVP at 518-523-2512 if possible, but walk-ins are more than welcome.

Joy 26 will be held at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6.

This annual benefit will be co-chaired by Erin Perkins and Sharon Wood.

Volunteers are needed for several committees and can help with a variety of duties like donating auction items, helping to solicit and gather auction items, baking goodies for baskets, selling raffle tickets, helping with administrative projects and making gingerbread houses.
