The Adirondack Daily Enterprise has launched an Apple iPhone app to make it easier to access news stories and other information from your mobile device.
The app gives readers quick, customizable access to local news stories, sports, opinion pieces and the ability to vote in weekly polls.
It also includes a search function and lists the most read and most commented on stories on the Enterprise's website.
With the app, readers can get alerts when breaking news is posted online.
The app also includes a garage sale function that maps the garage sales the Enterprise has listed around the region so deal-seekers can easily figure out how to get to the next sale.
The Enterprise's mobile website, mobile.adirondackdailyenterprise.com, will still be accessible on Apple mobile devices, and that will remain the only way for people with non-Apple devices to access the Enterprise.
To download the free app, find it in the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, go to www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com/iphone, or scan the QR code that will appear in Enterprise print ads starting Tuesday.
