Kids try carving

September 27, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
Children and adults carve maple leaves on soap Wednesday at the Adirondack Carousel in Saranac Lake as part of a two-week after-school carving program for students in grades 4 to 6. The kids will also carve snake walking sticks and do “advanced” pumpkin carving, and their finished projects will be showcased at an Oct. 25 reception at the carousel. From left are Lily DeLancett, master carver Mark Paul, carousel directer Paula Hameline and Raine DeLancett.
