To the editor:
Congratulations to Tom Catillaz for his energetic action proposals for the airport and business park (Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Sept. 22).
Tom outlines specifics - doable specifics. He does not dither or speak in glittering generalities.
Tom knows the town needs to move forward to harness these languishing assets.
Tom understands 20 years of talk has left the airport and the business park sitting still. He knows it is time to abandon "the stillness we now have" (Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Sept. 22). Instead of talking about what "might" be done, Tom puts forward concrete proposals.
Tom does not ramble on about what is impossible to do.
Tom cites current resources such as the Internet, the town website and Facebook - now-available, affordable technology - to begin marketing the airport and the business park. He calls on all of us to offer ideas, to participate through this medium, to not just sit in long meetings or complain. Tom even offers an alternative to commercial use of the business park.
Tom's "let's get it done" attitude offers opportunity and taxpayer relief.
Let's not sit still any more.
Vote Tom Catillaz, Harrietstown supervisor, Nov. 6.
