Peg Mauer, left, the new head librarian at Tupper Lake’s Goff-Nelson Memorial Library, introduced herself to the village board Monday night and donated a sign, which her husband Don is holding, to the village. She found the sign in the garage of her mother, who was a school librarian for about 30 years. Mauer is originally from Rochester but has been living in the area and working in St. Lawrence County.
