LAKE PLACID - The Plattsburgh volleyball team kept its unbeaten record intact Tuesday with a 25-14, 25-15, 25-18 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory over Lake Placid.

Taylor Witkiewicz had 13 points and six aces to lead the way for the Hornets, who improved to 4-0. Kayla Boise, Rachael Bedard and Kadijah Brown combined for 18 points, three aces, seven kills, one assist and four digs.

Lindsey Howe had six points, three aces and three digs and Emma Roach chipped in six points, one ace and one kill for the Bombers.

Northern Adirondack 3, Saranac Lake 0

ELLENBURG - The Saranac Lake volleyball team traveled to Northern Adirondack on Tuesday and came away with a 3-0 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference loss.

The Bobcats won the first game 25-13, the second 25-21 and the third 25-16 to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Kylie Sapone paced the Red Storm with six points and six aces, while teammate Emily Fountain racked up six points, four aces, two assists and two kills.

Emma Trombley had 13 assists and Shonni Velasquez recorded eight kills to lead the way for Northern Adirondack.

Saranac Lake fell to 2-3 with the defeat.
