Google Maps Street View videographer Jim Hilker, based in Ithaca, works at the Cottage Cafe Friday morning in Lake Placid; he is creating 360-degree, up-and-down views of the entire Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa property, or which the Cottage is a part, as well as other businesses in the community. The technology allows for browsers to take virtual tours of businesses before making a decision.
