BLOOMINGDALE - A sport-utility vehicle collided with a school bus shortly before 8 o'clock this morning on state Route 3, just south of this hamlet's main Four Corners intersection.

Witnesses at the scene said no one was hurt, and students were quickly switched to another bus and taken to school. Police said rescue was dispatched to check someone out at the scene, but no additional information was available as of press time.

The yellow Nissan Xterra SUV rear-ended the bus, sustained severe front-end damage and was hauled away on a tow truck. The school bus appeared to not be badly damaged; it was driven away from the scene.
