More malarkey and hubris

September 3, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Has Mr. Beamish been to Old Forge recently? I have, and I live in Macon, Ga. Does he honestly think tourists who visit that hot spot will leave there on bikes, feet and snowmobiles to trek almost 90 miles to Tupper Lake? That's bunk, Dick, or to use your term, malarkey. It will not happen.

And your group calling it Adirondack Rail Trail? Where's the rail? Under your plan, there is no rail. That's just plain deceptive. I know, 'cause I signed one of your emails to support rail/trail. You fooled me, so please take my name off your list.

If you really cared about increasing visitors to Tupper Lake, you would support both rails and trails. But you won't. Because you honestly don't care.
