To the editor:
Seven years ago, the Saranac Lake Parents Middle School Boosters club was formed. Every year since then, we have been able to supply 20 to 30 or more students in need with all the supplies and a backpack for them to be successful in school. The continues financial support from the members of this community has made it possible for us to realize this dream.
This year there was an unprecedented amount of requests for the Back-a-Park program. With financial resources difficult everywhere, we were concerned. The community members of Saranac Lake came through, and we were able to fund 31 backpacks. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Saranac Lake community members for their continued support of this very important program.
