SARANAC LAKE - Twin sisters Laura Zaunbrecher and Analise Zaunbrecher Reeves have been running and competing together in endurance races for years.
Now they will be traveling to London, England together next year after they qualified for the world sprint triathlon championships competing on Sunday in Burlington, Vt.
The pair competed in the sprint division of the USA Triathlon National championships in Vermont and will represent Team USA in London after high placings in the Green Mountain State race.

The sprint triathlon consists of a 750-meter open water swim followed by a 20-kilometer bicycle race, and finishes with a 5 kilometer run.
Laura finished the course in eighth place in 1 hour, 15 minutes and 7 seconds, and was followed closely by Analise in the 13th spot in 1:17:17.
Laura and Analise are 2000 graduates of Saranac Lake High School, and both earned bachelor's degrees from University of Louisiana Lafayette, where they were standouts in track and cross country.
Laura is currently attending Georgia State University in Atlanta where she is a Ph.D. candidate in geochemistry. Analise received her Ph.D. in microbiology from Emory University and is currently engaged in research at Harvard Medical School.
