Hotel Saranac owner should be appreciated

To the editor:

I'd like to thank the owner of the Hotel Saranac for allowing me to park in the hotel parking lot this past Monday, even though I was not a guest at the hotel. And on behalf of all of the people who did take advantage of his open parking policy during the month of December last year, I would also like to say thank you.

Possibly he was trying to make amends for the towing incident or towing incidents which had occurred during the prior months. His December generosity apparently was not appreciated, which goes to show that we are quick to complain but, likewise, most capable of overlooking someone's efforts to make amends. May the owner be willing to allow Community Store shoppers to park in the hotel lot this December also.
