SOUTH PALM BEACH, Fla. - Joseph A. Rosso Sr., 82, of South Palm Beach, Fla., died peacefully Aug. 1, 2012.
Born in the Bronx on Jan. 10, 1930. He met his wife and raised his family in Somers, where he worked as an estimator. In 1969, he moved his family to Lake Worth and continued working in the construction field. He later became well respected in the construction Industry as the founder of Rosso Paving & Drainage Inc.
Joe is an honored veteran of the Korean War.
In his retirement years, he split his time between South Palm Beach and Saranac Lake.
He is survived by his devoted children: Nancy G. Rosso and Joe A. Rosso II; wife Janet; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Irja Rosso and daughter Wendy A. Rosso.
Joe was a hero to his family and passed on his seemingly endless wisdom through stories from life experiences.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Local funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
