SARANAC LAKE - A Bloomingdale man was sent to jail this week for allegedly making unwanted contact with a female acquaintance using text messages, phone calls and Facebook.

Ray Brook-based state police charged Christopher A. Voudren, 37, with one count each of fourth-degree stalking, a class B misdemeanor; third-degree obscenity, a class A misdemeanor; and two counts of second-degree aggravated harassment, a class A misdemeanor.

Police said Voudren was arrested without incident at 1:22 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Broadway in Saranac Lake.

The alleged harassment took place in the town of St. Armand and was reported to state police Monday afternoon. Police said Voudren sent "a couple of inappropriate texts" to the woman, made unwanted phone calls, made unwanted contact through Facebook and sent a naked picture of part of his body to the woman in a text message.

Voudren was arraigned in St. Armand town court and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond. He was still in jail as of Thursday morning.

Voudren is due to reappear in town court at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
