OSWEGO - Ryan Farmer won best picture at the SUNY Oswego "36-Hour Mixed Emotion" film festival.
Inspired by the book "My Nine Lives" by Dana Fast, Farmer directed a four minute short about a brother and a sister fleeing Nazi occupied Warsaw during World War II.
He also was awarded first place for best editing and his partner won best cinematography.

Farmer just completed his sophomore year at SUNY Oswego with a dual major in cinema and screen studies and broadcasting/mass communication.
