TUPPER LAKE - P-2's Irish Pub held its debut concert in the old Franklin Dairy building Saturday night, reopened as a concert hall.

The old dairy stopped operating at the beginning of the 1980s and has been used as storage since then. But P-2's owner Michelle LeBlanc Blair and manager Rick Donah realized the building behind their Main Street pub would be a good place to hold concerts.

They opened the Franklin Dairy Music Hall Saturday night with a concert by the Jones Boyz and a return of the band The Frickerz, featuring Clint Hollingsworth, Mike Fritts and Adam Hurteau. Hurteau was debilitated for the last year or so with a neurological disorder but has recovered to the point where he can play a show again.

According to the P-2's Facebook page Sunday, they hope to schedule more events at the Franklin Dairy Music Hall in the future.

"The dairy smelled like stale beer this morning," the page read. "Mission accomplished!"
