‘Stars of Ballet’ to grace the LPCA stage July 16

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will welcome back "Nilas Martins and Friends: Stars of Ballet" for an evening of dance, including the LPCA premiere of Jerome Robbins' "Other Dances," at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 16 This evening of ballet will feature some of the finest dancers in the country in the intimate setting of the Arts Center's 353-seat theatre.

"Nilas Martins and Friends: Stars of Ballet" will feature 14 visiting principals and soloists appearing courtesy of the New York City Ballet Company, including Nilas Martins, Jared Angle, Ashley Bouder, Joaquin De Luz, Craig Hall, Sterling Hyltin, Chase Finlay, Rebecca Krohn, Ask la Cour, Megan LeCrone, Lauren Lovette, Ana Sophia Scheller, Abi Stafford, Amar Ramasar and Daniel Ulbricht.

This evening's program was funded in part by Allan Forsyth, the Frances Murdock Fund at Adirondack Community Trust, Mr. Howard Solomon, and John and Nancy Rosenthal. Special thanks to the members of the New York City Ballet Company for all their hard work, generosity and support in making this evening possible. Other Dances is performed by permission of the Robbins Rights Trust and the Balanchine ballets are "Performed by Permission of the Balanchine Trust."

Tickets are $28 for center and aisle seats and $25 for sides. Reservations are strongly suggested as the LPCA does anticipate a sold-out house.
