To the editor:
In response to the article published on June 28 about questioned support for the railroad in the North Country Regional Economic Development Council's plan, I feel the need to weigh in and voice my support for the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.
I am a rail fan who has traveled this railroad in the past and plan to do so in the future. In addition, I plan to soon take my autistic son for his first ride, as he loves trains like his father does.
I refuse to make any case for the trail advocates, as there are enough former railroad rights of way in the North Country already available for their usage, so why take away the Adirondack Scenic, which offers family fun for everyone?
