Signs with messages like these have been set up at entrances to Tupper Lake, protesting a lawsuit environmentalists filed against state approval of the Adirondack Club and Resort, a 700-unit development centered on the Big Tupper Ski Area. The people who posted these signs call themselves the Committee of Real Adirondack People or CRAP; member Stu Nichols said their mission is “to protect those of us who really live here from those who really don’t.”
