Making a movie in Lake Placid

June 29, 2012
By CHRIS KNIGHT - Senior Staff Writer (cknight@adirondackdailyenterprise.com) , Adirondack Daily Enterprise

LAKE PLACID - Actors and the crew shot scenes from New York University student Addison Mehr's upcoming film "Fort Apache" Thursday.

Traffic on that section of Main Street was restricted to one lane and stopped periodically during the shoot.

The film is about 14-year-old Walt Freely, a boy from the small town of Krafton who, in Mehr's words, is leaving the "naive world of children" and entering a "savage world of adults."
