VERMONTVILLE -Peter LaBrake, 63, of the Keith Road in Vermontville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 17, 2012.
He was born in Bloomingdale on July 12, 1948, the son of the Francis and Eileen (Caton) LaBrake.
Peter was well known as an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and being around water. He served from 1971 to 1973 in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Peter worked hard to provide for his family. He was a dedicated son, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. Peter's "Garage Mahal" was his last great accomplishment.
Peter is survived by his father Francis LaBrake of Bloomingdale; one daughter Tammy LaBrake of Ontario, N.Y.; one son Francis LaBrake of Vermontville; one brother Leo LaBrake of Bloomingdale; three sisters: Eileen LaBrake of Bloomingdale, Rita Keith of Vermontville and Diane Millen of Bloomingdale; four grandchildren: Diana, John, Annie and Jade; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his mother Eileen (Caton) LaBrake.
At the family's request, funeral services and burial will be private.
