TUPPER LAKE - A day after AT&T said its issues with cell service in the area were fixed, locals were again having problems making phone calls, sending messages and accessing data over their AT&T cell phones.
People in Tupper Lake and Piercefield reported having problems Wednesday. Their cell service was out most of the afternoon but would work sporadically.
AT&T spokeswoman Ellen Webner told the Enterprise at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday that AT&T field technicians at the site resolved the issues.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers," Webner wrote in an email.
AT&T was out from Saturday night to Tuesday afternoon. The company had told the Enterprise the issue was with Verizon landline equipment on Mount Morris and that AT&T technicians were on the scene with technicians from Verizon to fix it. But Verizon said it had no issues and no technicians there.
