Lodge’s 125th anniversary

On Saturday, April 28, Assemblywoman Janet Duprey presented the Whiteface?Mountain Lodge No. 429 with a proclamation from the New York State Assembly honoring the lodge on its 125th anniversary. The lodge received its charter from the Grand Lodge of the State of New York on Sept. 26, 1884, in Bloomingdale. The lodge moved to Saranac Lake in 1892 and laid the cornerstone of its present building on July 9, 1904, at 173 Olive St. Pictured, from left, are Steven Dehond, junior warden; Duprey; (top) Richard Preall, senior deacon;?(bottom) Andrew Manchester, master; (top) William Gutersloh, senior warden; and (bottom) Richard Holmlund, secretary.
