Peter Craig of Keene won first place in the 12-16 age division and Bruno Freeman of Bloomingdale, placed second in the 8-11 age division at the Upstate New York Chess Open Tournament, held June 2 at the Franklin Academy in Malone. The tournament was held by the Upstate New York Chess Club. A local Chess Club for all ages meets at Will Rogers, Saranac Lake every Wednesday evening. The club is free and open to all ages.
