The state Department of Transportation will begin repaving the Sara-Placid Highway today.
Resurfacing along the 8-mile stretch of state Route 86 between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid is expected to last for about two weeks, according to DOT. Work crews will repave the road and re-stripe travel lanes and shoulder markings.
Motorists are reminded to plan for delays in travel time.
