LAKE PLACID - The monthly I Love Local Eats Cooking Series will be hosting its fifth food demonstration next week.

Chef Tim Dulka, of the National Sports Academy, will do a 30- to 45-minute cooking demonstration that will be followed by food tasting and a Q&A session from the audience at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the Thomas Shipman Youth Center on 8 Cummins Road, Lake Placid. Chef Santos Chaparro of Lisa G's was originally slated to be the guest chef.

Dessert for the evening will be provided by Cakeplacid. Tea, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served at the event.

The cost to attend is $15 per person with all funds going to the Shipman Youth Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe place for young people to mature while simultaneously providing guidance to them. No RSVP is required.

The sixth installment of the cooking series event will be held on Wednesday, July 11 and will feature Chef Charlie Levitz of Chair 6 and dessert will be presented by Cakeplacid.
