Rustic Riders to perform benefit at Saranac Village at Will Rogers

SARANAC LAKE - Klaus and Lisa Meissner of The Rustic Riders, will perform a mix of rock and soul at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Saranac Village at Will Rogers. This program will feature new songs and those from their albums "Among These Hills" and "Hearing Hearts."

Featuring blues, rock, traditional, gospel, folk and jazz, The Rustic Riders have been playing together in various combinations since 1996. Since the fall of 2006, they have been playing mostly original material written by Lisa who sings and plays the guitar, the cello, mandolin and bouzouki. Klaus plays percussion and has made Lisa's guitars.

The Rustic Riders have performed in various venues such as BluSeed Studios, Northwoods Inn, Station Street Bar and Grill, Blue Moon Cafe, Brick Oven Cafe, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Rotary Show and Saranac Lake Third Thursday Art Walk.

This concert is a benefit concert to raise money for lighting for the Will Rogers stage. A $5 donation is requested.
