OGDENSBURG - Tupper Lake athletes Lindsey Maroun and Kristin Bickford each picked up a win Saturday in the 89th annual Van Dusen Memorial track and field meet hosted by Ogdensburg Free Academy.
Maroun, a freshman, won the 200-meter dash in 27.0 seconds. She also took second in the triple jump (32 feet, 3 inches) and was part of the 400 relay team that finished in 54.4 for second place.
Bickford cleared 4-10 to win the high jump competition.
Samantha Ormsby, Hannah Klossner and Tess Klossner joined Maroun on the 400 relay team, which finished behind Potsdam (54.40).
On the boys' side, Bryan Geiger placed fifth in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 12:03.2. Randy Charland was sixth in the 800.
Madrid-Waddington won the girls meet with 82 points, while OFA was the boys' team winner with 161.5. The Tupper Lake girls finished sixth with 37 points and the boys were 11th with three points.

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid softball team scored early and often Friday on the way to a doubleheader sweep of Northern Adirondack.
The Blue Bombers scored in every inning of the first game on the way to a 15-3 victory, then came back with a 9-2 win in the nightcap.
Kelsey Taylor, Alexis Megliore, Payton Barney and Serina Hayes each had two hits in the first game. Barney went 3-for-3 with two doubles in the second game and Hayes doubled twice and collected four RBI.
Brooke Reid was credited with the win in the first game, while Hayes was the winner in the second game.
Lake Placid travels to Moriah today for a 4:30 p.m. game.
