TUPPER LAKE - Riley Amell shot 46 and Ben Geiger carded a 47 to lead the Tupper Lake golf team to a 5-0 victory over Edwards-Knox on Friday at Tupper Lake Country Club.

Robbie LaLonde (50), Alex Lewis (50), Rick LaLonde (53) and Josh Pickering (56) also recorded wins to help the Lumberjacks secure their second victory in two days.

PARISHVILLE - The Parishville-Hopkinton softball team swept a doubleheader from Tupper Lake on Friday in Northern Athletic Conference action.

The Panthers used a two-run sixth inning in the first game to secure a 5-3 victory. Parishville kept the momentum going in the second game with nine runs over the first three innings to take control of what turned into a 12-1 win over the Lumberjacks.

Carley Aldridge had two singles in the first game and added another in the second to lead Tupper Lake offensively. Paige Dukett singled twice in the second game and Jesse Weigand connected for a double.

Sam Sanford pitched a complete-game in the opener, then relieved Kelsie St. Louis in the fourth inning of the second game.

Tupper Lake fell to 5-6 in NAC games and 7-6 overall with the defeats. Parishville-Hopkinton is 10-2 in league games and 10-4 overall.
