Celebrating the grand opening

May 19, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday to celebrate the grand opening of Adirondack Health’s new Wound Care and Hyperbaric Treatment Center. Located on Old Lake Colby Road in Saranac Lake behind Adirondack Medical Center, the $2.7 million facility will specialize in treatment of patients with chronic wounds, such as the elderly, people with diabetes and vascular disease and cancer patients who’ve undergone radiation treatment. Since it opened in late February, hospital officials say patient visits are 25 percent higher than expected. Pictured cutting the ribbon, from left, are Kerry Roth, the center’s clinical nurse manager, Adirondack Health President and CEO Chandler Ralph, Chief Operating Officer Cynthia McGuire and the center’s program director, Philip Edie.
