Lake Placid 4, Beekmantown 2

LAKE PLACID - Lake Placid's golfers didn't turn in some of their best scores of the season in Monday's home match against Beekmantown, but the rounds were still good enough to earn the Blue Bombers a 4-2 victory over the Eagles on the back nine at the Craig Wood Golf Course.

With the win, Lake Placid improved to 3-2 in CVAC play.

Beekmantown took the top match as Mac Cope fired a round-low 41 to defeat Lucas Strack, who struggled with a 58. But four other Blue Bombers turned in scores in the mid 40s to claim individual wins and clinch the team triumph.

Playing at the No. 3 position, Miles Lussi paced Lake Placid with a 44 to claim a win over Bryce Lee.

Also victorious for Lake Placid were: Nick Reid in the second pairing with a 47 to defeat Mike Deyo, Dustin Jacques in the fifth match with a 46 to top Josh Pickins and Pat Kane at No. 6 with a 47 to defeat Alex Faruqi.

The Blue Bombers return to action today, traveling to face Saranac Central.
