AuSable River Association Executive Director Corrie Miller plants a tree with 2-year-old Margaret Jegem of Jay in AuSable Forks on the West Branch of the AuSable River Sunday. About 1,600 trees were planted along the river Sunday as part of the Lake Champlain Basin Trees for Tributaries program, which is run through a partnership between the state Department of Environmental Conservation and U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
