Flood recovery grant program workshop

Empire State Development, the Small Business Development Center and the Essex County Industrial Development Agency will sponsor a workshop to assist with the application process for eligible small business, nonprofit organizations, farms or owners of multiple dwellings that sustained direct physical flood-related damage as a result Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Jay town offices, 11 School Lane, Au Sable Forks.

The workshop is free and open to the public.

Supervisor Randall Douglas expressed his gratitude to Gov. Andrew Cuomo for implementing the Hurricane Irene-Tropical Storm Lee Business Flood Recovery Grant Program being administered by Empire State Development.

He also said that all applications must be postmarked by March 16.
