Shed burns to the ground

A Saranac Lake firefighter looks over the charred wreckage of a pickup truck that was consumed by flames Friday when an adjacent storage shed caught fire in the Breezy Acres subdivision off of McKenzie Pond Road. Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department members responded to 53 Passino Way at 12:41 p.m. with four trucks and 19 members. They used 2,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, the cause of which appeared to be electrical. Firefighters returned to the fire station at 2:27 p.m.
