TUPPER LAKE - The International Paper Foundation is providing $2,000 for winter programming at The Wild Center.

The Family Art in Nature program encourages families to visit every Sunday during the winter to participate in art projects centered on animals and the natural environment, according to a press release. This program begins Jan. 15, 2012. The schedule for 2012 winter programs is available at www.wildcenter.org/events.

"We are pleased to support The Wild Center's education work," IP Mill Communications Manager Donna Wadsworth. "This unique facility helps us all to better understand our connection to nature and our wonderful regional treasure the Adirondack mountains of New York."

"The Wild Center is a community organization for the Adirondack region and corporate leadership such as that provided by IP is critical to our ability to serve families, schools, and businesses in our region," said Stephanie Ratcliffe, executive director of The Wild Center.
