SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Health announced the addition of three new providers to its health centers in Tupper Lake and Lake Placid.

Dr. Mario F. Tagliagambe has begun seeing patients at the Tupper Lake Health Center, where he will be joined later in September by Wendy L. Frank, a family nurse practitioner. Dona M. Kilgore, a certified physician assistant, has joined the Adirondack Health medical staff as well, and will be seeing patients at both the Tupper Lake Health Center and Lake Placid Health Center.

Dr. Tagliagambe received his medical degree in 1984 from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., and he completed his family practice residency at Saint Joseph's Medical Center. He is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Tagliagambe most recently was the attending physician at Saint Joseph's Medical Center and Saint John's Riverside Hospital, both in Yonkers. He also served as attending physician at Frances Schervier Nursing Home in Riverdale.

Frank is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with over twenty years of critical care and emergency room experience. She graduated from the Arnot-Ogden Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1988 and went on to earn her bachelors and later a Masters degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix. She attended SUNY Binghamton where she received her certification as a family nurse practitioner.

She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner at SUNY Binghamton. Frank has a broad range of work experience in the intensive care unit, emergency department, trauma center and cardiothoracic intensive care unit. She is currently responsible for the examination and screening of clients working in Hazmat environments and other public sector positions.

Kilgore is a certified physician assistant, who majored in biology at Castleton State College, and received her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Albany Medical College. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has gained valuable work experience working as a physician assistant in the urgent care, primary care and emergency department settings in the Adirondack area, and during her clinical rotations as a PA student at Albany Medical College. Previous experience includes working as a lead medical assistant in the Vascular Surgery Department at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont.
