LAKE PLACID - For anyone who wants to lose weight and live a healthier life-style, there will be a permanent weight loss seminar with Roberta Russell at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Howard Johnson's Loft in Lake?Placid.
This seminar is free and open to the public.
It is for anyone who would like to assess their weight-loss options realistically and develop a plan based on their natural assets and what has been shown to work through the latest scientific research.
Anyone interested in the seminar can check www.permanentweightloss.org, a noncommercial website, which will discuss the ways and means used by the most successful long-term weight losers.
Attendees will be tought how to significantly extend their lifespan and reduce the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, certain cancers, gout, gall bladder disease and a myriad of other over-weight-related disorders, by reducing their weight to a normal range.
Permanent weight loss can be achieved by learning what is actually known about weight loss by studying the behavior of those who have had long term weight-loss success, and by reviewing controlled studies, rather than listening to the sales hype of unproven "lose- weight- quickly schemes." By using informed knowledge and minimizing stressful behavior and negative attitudes, one can explore potentially healthy options and develop a strategic plan, possibly aided by alliances with other committed people.
