SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Medical Center welcomes Stephen M. Giardino to serve in the newly created position of assistant vice president, physician network administrator.
Due to the importance of physician recruitment and retention, as well as the addition of services focused on providing specialty programs, AMC responded to the need for an individual with a strong background in business and health care to manage its various health clinics.
In addition to primary care health centers in Keene, Lake Placid and Tupper Lake, AMC provides specialty services through programs including bariatrics (weight loss), cardiology, rheumatology, and later this year a wound care treatment center. As the physician network administrator, Giardino is responsible for clinical operations including financial, human resources, planning, marketing, information systems, risk and governance, organizational business and professional development.
